Collaboration
One of Valley Invicta Academies Trust's values is collaboration.
By working together as one cohesive team across all of our schools, along with our teacher training programme, we can ensure that best practice is shared and that we continuously learn from one another.
Our pupils and students benefit from shared facilities such as our Sports Hall and Outdoor Learning Area, as well as in specific subjects - for example, we have a Modern Foreign Languages teacher who works across our primary schools, and some of our secondary students attend alternative parts of the VIAT campus to study particular subjects.
Staff can work more closely with colleagues from other schools, move into different areas of teaching more easily and develop their knowledge and understanding in-house.
There is no doubt that, by working together, we can achieve more. We can problem solve as a team, help each other develop, be provided with more opportunities and, in turn, this helps with morale, staff retention and efficiency across the organisation.
While we aim to collaborate in all that we do, we have been focusing specifically on a number of areas - Music, Art, PE and Sports, Outdoor Learning, Safeguarding, Internationalism, Modern Foreign Languages and Wellbeing. You can read more about the work that has been going on from the dedicated pages on this website.
