Music

Valley Invicta Academies Trust wants all pupils/students in both our primary and secondary schools to have a high quality, engaging and interactive curriculum, that fosters a love of music.

As pupils/students progress through their primary years they enjoy a variety of cross-curricular music experiences and some ensemble work.

On transition to our secondary settings, all students are given regular opportunities to perform music to a high standard within a wide variety of ensembles and events.  Through this, pupils/students develop high levels of confidence, learn the value of working together, and have their cultural horizons broadened.

It is the intent of the Trust that each student is able to develop their love of music across both primary and secondary years, with extra-curricular provision that recognises the importance of the transition between these two key stages of development.
