Richard Hayden

Richard started his role as CEO on 31 August 2023, after six years with VIAT, most recently fulfilling the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

He began his career working in the private sector, before a 15-year career with the NHS in a variety of roles, including operational and financial management, people management, and organisational and business development.

Richard holds a BSc honours degree in Geography from Aberdeen University, an MA in Human Resources Management, a postgraduate diploma in Health and Social Care Management, is a qualified coach and mentor, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).

Prior to joining VIAT, Richard was a Non-Executive Director for the Trust.
