Sarah Edwards

Sarah is CEO of Canterbury Oast Trust, a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities by promoting independence and inclusion. Through her leadership, Canterbury Oast Trust empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives in a supportive, high-quality environment. Sarah is dedicated to creating a culture of proactive opportunity-seeking, adapting to change, and driving new initiatives that benefit those in the Trust’s care. By encouraging open communication and a respectful team environment, Sarah supports a culture of teamwork that honours each person’s unique contributions.

Sarah joined VIAT as a Member in July 2024 and brings her governance experience to support the Trust in delivering on its educational mission. Her role involves helping ensure that VIAT’s trustees maintain effective oversight, uphold the highest standards, and meet their objectives responsibly. By advocating for clear, independent governance, Sarah aims to support VIAT’s commitment to excellence in education and inclusivity, making a positive impact on students, staff, and the wider community.
