Abigail Brightwell

Abigail joined VIAT as a Member in July 2024. She is a Partner in the Employment and HR team at Brachers, having trained at the firm and qualified in 2011. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Abigail graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in history and, after working for HM Court Service, went on to study the Graduate Diploma in Law at Kingston University. She completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford. 
 
Abigail works predominantly with employers, with a particular focus on the education sector. Alongside clients in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors, she advises schools, MATS and education providers on a broad range of day-to-day workplace issues, both contentious and non-contentious. Abigail provides clear and pragmatic advice, and is named as a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 2024 directory.
