Planned roadworks

School of Science and Technology Maidstone - Planned roadworks on New Cut Road and Grovewood Drive South starting in February 2020.

We are ready to commence the final phase of roadworks on New Cut Road and Grovewood Drive South on behalf of the Department for Education.  This vital piece of work will complete the entrance for Valley Invicta Academies Trust's new School for Science and Technology Maidstone.

We have been planning this event for a number of months, with close coordination between KCC Highways, Gallagher's Groundworks Ltd and a number of Statutory Undertakers who are secondary stakeholders heavily involved in the scheme.

Unfortunately, this work requires traffic management on New Cut Road and Grovewood Drive South to allow the safe construction of the works. We will endeavour to complete this work as quickly as possible, to alleviate the traffic congestion on New Cut Road.

Key Dates for your diary:

• Grovewood Drive South Closure - Monday 10 February 2020 to 2 May 2020, please follow the signed diversion route.
• New Cut Road 2-way traffic lights - Saturday 21 March 2020 to 2 May 2020.
