Fractured Fairy Tales Competition - our finalists!
A few weeks ago, Valley Invicta Academies Trust (VIAT) launched a ‘Fractured Fairy Tales’ competition for students across all its nine schools.
The idea was inspired when students from our School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST) were set a task to write their own 200 word story which took a classic fairy tale and added a twist, changed characters, or made it more modern.
We had so many amazing entries but our five finalists in each category - primary and secondary - have now been chosen by a panel of judges! You can read them here:
Primary Finalist Stories
- Camron - Valley Invicta Primary School at Aylesford
- Sianne - Valley Invicta Primary School at Leybourne Chase
- Taylor - Valley Invicta Primary School at Leybourne Chase â
- Tida - Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough
- Zainab - Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough
Secondary Finalist Stories
- Hannah - Invicta Grammar School
- Henry - School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST)
- Kimaya - Invicta Grammar School
- Lacey - The Lenham School
- William - School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST)
The winner from each category will be chosen after the Easter holidays, by VIAT's CEO, Julie Derrick, and will receive a prize of a £25 Waterstones gift card for their brilliant efforts!
